Biography contributed by John Edwards

"The death of Mr. William Mowat, second eldest son of Mrs. Mowat, of Yarraman, took place at the Nanango Hospital on September 4. The deceased, who had served 4 years abroad, had been in ill-health since his return. His remains were interred in the Yarraman cemetery, the deceased soldier being accorded a military funeral. The cortege moved from the local Presbyterian Church, and was very largely attended. Comrades of the deceased, in uniform, acted as pall-bearers. The service was conducted by Rev. H. Longfield." - from the Brisbane Courier 11 Sep 1920 (nla.gov.au)
