DEATH OF DEAN BRENNAN.
Parish Priest of West Perth.

The death occurred last night of the Very Rev. Dean Brennan, who until his recent illness was parish priest of West Perth (St. Brigid's). The late Denis Aloysius Brennan was 65 years of age. He was born at Slovey, County Sligo, Oire, and was educated at Sligo College and Maynooth College. On June 18, 1899. He was ordained priest and arrived in Perth in November of that year. Dean Brennan's first appointment was to a goldfields parish and he remained there until 1911. From 1911 to 1915 he was parish priest of Narrogin and in
February, 1915, he joined the A.I.F. as a chaplain, serving through the war and remaining with the forces until September, 1919.

Since the war he had been parish priest of Narrogin, South Perth and Victoria Park. In 1937 he was appointed to the parish of West Perth. He leaves three brothers and two sisters. A brother and a sister, Mr. J. Brennan and Mrs. LIston, are residents of Ashfield, Sydney; Messrs. Patrick and Michael Brennan reside in County Sligo and his second sister, Mrs. Horan, at Castlebar. County Mayo.The Archbishop of Perth (Dr. Prendiville), who is at present in Bridgetown, will return to Perth today and tomorrow at 9.0 a.m. will celebrate a solemn requiem mass in St. Brigid's Church, West Perth. The funeral cortege will leave St.Brigid's Church at 11 am. and will arrive at the Karrakatta Cemetery at 11.15.The Right Rev. Monsignor Hayes, V.F, of Bunbury, will accompany His Grace and will attend the funeral.
