She served in France and was Mentioned in Despatches for distinguished and gallant service and devotion to duty, this was promulgated on June 29 1917. Norah Returned to Australia on April 19, 1919. Another link with the past of early Dandenong was severed with the passing of Sister Nora Lehman at her residence, 562 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne on May 24th. Her mother and father Mr Geo. and Katherine Lehman, were the proprietors of the Bridge Hotel 60 years ago, and they were widely known and highly respected. Old scholars of State School Dandenong 1403 will remember deceased well. With her sister Ehtle Aileen, Stanley and George, she attended this school. She followed the nursing profession all her life and was a Sister in the First World War. She is survived by her sister, Ethel Aileen, Mrs. D Best, Kathleen and Sid. Her brothers Stanley and George, well known in Dandenong, pre-deceased her some years ago.
