Hospital, France, 26 April 1918, and discharged back to Base Depot on 28 April 1918. Wounded in action, gassed, (2nd occurrence), France on 26 May 1918, and discharged back to unit on 21 June 1918. Wounded in action, (3rd occurrence), 1 September 1918, France, with a gunshot wound to neck. Invalided to hospital, 3 September 1918. Invalided to England and admitted to Lord Derby War Hospital, Warrington, England, on 4 September 1918.

Fate:   Returned invalided to Australia per HT Orontes, 20 December 1918, disembarking 1 February 1919. He married Rose Lillian Hampson, 24 March 1919, Toowoomba, Qld.
