The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017 - refer to pages 92 + 262. Prior to the war he was a staffman of Ballarat Vic. He enlisted 21 Jan 1915 aged 22 years. He was allocated to the 22nd Infantry Battalion, and during his service he was awarded the Military Medal. He departed the UK for home 10th April 1919
