His mother Mary Ann Paul lived on a farm in Longhope, Glos.and later at Woking, Surrey.

He had previously been wounded in the Dardanelles Campaign.


Nephew of James Pearce of Ashton Ingham.

He is remembered on the war memorial in the parish of Ashton Ingham.
