John henry Grant enlisted with the Australian Imperial Force on the 21st February, 1916. He was in the 53rd Battalion, Service No 2415. Ivan Francis Grant had taken the name of his two brothers to enlist as he was underage. He was killed in action 27th March, 1917 in Bullecourt, France
