He was 33 and a son of William Henry and Annie Henderson, of 16, Harris St., North Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
His brothers, Private Ernest Albert Henderson and Private Leslie Donald Henderson of the 60th Bn. Australian Infantry, A.I.F., also fell. They were both killed on the same day, and having no known grave, are commemorated together on the V.C. CORNER AUSTRALIAN CEMETERY AND MEMORIAL, FROMELLES- memorial reference: 20.
