Lydia KING's service record does not contain the normal documented record of service. From the record and the various other documented information it is known that she served on the hospital ships Grantully Castle and Sicilia off the Gallipoli coast. She also served on vessel(s) between Alexandria, Egypt and Malta.

Lydia also served transport duties on HMT 'A38' Ulysses on a return voyage to Australia in January 1916 and returned to the Middle East on SS Euripides in April 1916

Lydia also did VAD duties at Harefield after her resignation from the service from June 1917 to December 1917.
