Add my storyBiography contributed by Elizabeth Allen
His parents were William HETHERINGTON and Jane BURGESS who married on 4th September, 1877 at Adaminaby, NSW
They had at least 11 known children
Mrs. Hetherington, Tumbarumba, received word on Monday last that her son, Private Albert Hetherington, died of wounds on August 8th. He enlisted at Ganmain two years ago and was wounded twice. A brother is still fighting on the western front. Again will the deepest sympathy of the community go out to the bereaved relatives. A memorial service will be held for the two heroes at St. Jude's Church on Sunday, 15th September.
His brother Reginald Thomas HETHERINGTON (SN6774) also served in WW1 and returned to Australia in 1919
