When Edgar Heysed was born on 2nd of July 1884, in Unley, South Australia, his father, Joseph Johns Heysed, was 27 and his mother, Martha Lavis, was 28. He married Mary raven on 18 April 1911, in Norwood, South Australia, Australia. They were parents of at least 3 sons and 3 daughters. He registred for Military service in 1914 and was allocated to the Engineer tunnelling company. He died on 6th August 1956, in Springbank, South Australia, Australia, at the age of 72 and was buried at West terrace Cemetary, Adelaide South Australia, Australia.
