3718 Private (Pte) John McArthur Dickson Miller. An iron worker from Windsor, Victoria prior to enlistment, Pte Miller had previously been rejected as being under the height requirement. Following his successful enlistment he embarked with the 10th Reinforcements, 57th Battalion from Melbourne on HMAT Nestor on 28 February 1918. Later wounded in the right arm he was evacuated to England. Due to the severity of his wound he returned to Australia on 21 December 1918 and was medically discharged.
