Archibald Ernest NOVICE (1897-1981)
Born 30 July 1897 at Norwood South Australia.
Educated at the Rose Park Public School,
Enlisted into the 32nd Infantry Battalion 20 May 1915..
Embarked 18 Nov 1915 on the HMAT 'Geelong'.
Reported wounded, Passchendaele, October 1917; remained on duty. Gassed, Corbie, April 1918; invalided to Connaught Hospital, Aldershot, England; recovered and rejoined unit.
Commenced return to Australia from England on board HT 'Ceramic', 9 August 1919 (with wife and 1 child); disembarked Adelaide, 24 September 1919; discharged, 23 November 1919.
Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal
