Commenced return to Australia on 23 September 1919 aboard HT Ascanius disembarking on 10 November 1919 at Sydney, NSW

Husband if Ada Margaret Dale nee Young of 18 Frederica Road, Winton, Bournemouth, England. In 1921 Ada wrote asking for assistance as Rowland have returned to Australia and was not supporting her or their two children

Rowland and Ada were married on the 18 June 1918 at Medcombe Parish Church. Rev. T. Lancaster officiated

During 1945c Rowland married Mary Ellen Smith in the Parramatta district, NSW
