6084 Private Donald James Fraser eldest brother of
Lieutenant Colonel William Angus Fraser CO 3rd LightHorse Field Ambulance,
Major Alexander Clow Fraser Officer Commanding 6th Field Ambulance (previously RMO 24th Battalion AIF) and
Hamilton MacDonald Fraser (Did not Serve).
Private Donald Fraser played for Collingwood (1904-06) in their 1905 attempt to win the VFL Premiership flag of 1905.
Donald Fraser applied for and accepted a Soldier Settlement block at Lauriston ( West of Kyneton Vic) in the early to mid 1920’s. Don farmed in the district till his passing in 1963.
Don was buried in the family plot at Kyneton General Cemetery ( His wife passed in 1937).
