Son of Charles August Biber and Mary Biber. Nex of kin was listed as his daughter Mrs. Beatrice Irene Fraser of 21 Aberdeen Street, Auburn, Victoria. She was his only child. At the time of enlistment he gave his marital status as Widower

His daughter wrote for the Roll of Honour Circular that - "He was so anxious to enlist that he put his age back ten years in order to become eligible, and it was never queried." (Details from daughter)
