William Benzley was born in Sunbury in 1867.

He served in the Boer War, and joined the AIF on 11/9/1915, leaving Melbourne on 12/11/1915.

He was married to Clara and lived in Aines Street Murrumbeena.

He returned to Australia on 10/3/1919 and died in November 1941.
