Arthur Cornelius Brown JOLLOW was born in Balmain, Sydney in 1894

His parents were William Henry Triggs JOLLOW & Georgina Winifred Frances BROWN who married in Sydney in 1892

He enlisted on 27th September, 1916 & embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Ascanius with the 35th Infantry Battalion, 5th reinforcements on 25th October, 1916

Arthur Died of Wounds at Morlancourt in France on 12th May, 1918 and is buried in the Pernois British Cemetery - his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial

Arthur Cornelius Brown lived at 47 Darley Street Newtown.

"He became godfather to his nephew and three days later embarked on the troopship Ascanius for England. He never returned, dying of wounds received in the battle of Amiens on May 12, 1918. He is buried in a military cemetery at Pernois, about 5km from a place called Prise Sur Canaple, situated between Abbeville and Amiens, but not in a direct line."
