Born in Devonshire, England, in 1883, and educated at Brown's Plains State School, Queensland. The son of the late Thomas and the late Mrs. Webber, late of Brown's Plains. On the 9th May I 9 1 0, he was married to Victoria Alice, daughter of the late George Frederick and Mrs. Carter, of Kenton, Cooran. Enlisted in Aug. 1914, and left Australia for Egypt on the 14th October, 1914. Was at the landing on Gallipoli, and remained on the Peninsula till the evacuation. Went to France and was wounded at Passchendaele on the 22nd September, 1917. Invalided to England and then to Australia, arriving on the 26th October. 1918
