13 Sep 1918:	Honoured Military Medal, For devotion to duty and courage at Morlancourt on the night of 5/6 May 1918. As his platoon was nearing its final objective he noted an enemy machine gunner rush to his gun and swing it into action. Without hesitation he sprang forward and shot the gunner opening the way for the capture of the gun and the garrison in the post.
