Henry William LEVISTON was born in Leongatha, Victoria in 1897

His parents were John LEVISTON & Annie Jane BOWDEN

He married Olive May LAW in Victoria in 1921

He enlisted in Melbourne on 6th July, 1916 and embarked from Melbourne on 23rd November, 1916 with the 23rd Infantry Battalion, 18th reinforcements on the HMAT Hororata - he returned to Australia on 22nd July, 1919 and was discharged on 10th January, 1920

Henry died in Traralgon, Victoria on 14th January, 1959 and is buried in the Yarragon Cemetery

He was awarded the Military Medal on 9th October, 1917 for work at Broodseinde Ridge on 9th October, 1917

His brother John LEVISTON (SN 3378) also served during WW1 and returned to Australia in 1919
