Biography

Claude John Lawrence SELLGREN was born in 1883 in Dunedin, New Zealand

His parents were John Oscar SELLGREN and Catherine Amelia Augusta LINDGREN

He enlisted in Melbourne on 8th February 1915 with the Australian Army - 22nd Battalion A Company - Unit embarked from Melbourne on board HMAT Ulysses on 10th May 1915

Claude was Killed in Action on 5th August 1916 - he is buried in Serre Road No. 2 Cemetery in France - He is also commemorated on the Australian War Memorial
