Today I pause to remember Ernest Augustus Mowbray Michael (My great Grandfathers little brother). A New Zealander living in Fuji he traveled to Sydney and enlisted in as part of the 9th Reinforcements, 2nd Infantry Battalion AIF in July 1915. Wounded in action during the battle of Pozieres he was eventually shipped to England. He died of wounds on the 31st of July 1916. He was laid to rest in Morton Cemetery in Keighley, England.
