Francis Morrell BAXTER was born on 3rd July, 1865, Marylebone, London, England
His parents were William Stephen BAXTER and Ann MORRELL
Francis married Laura Elizabeth FOWEL (nee DAVIES) on 13th August, 1890 in Albany, Western Australia
He enlisted with the Australian Army on 23rd August, 1915 - he was a Provisional Corporal with the 28th Battalion, 7th reinforcements - the Unit embarked from Fremantle, WA on board HMAT Medic on 18th January, 1916
He returned to Australia on 23rd May, 1917 & saw service on the Western Front - he was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal
Francis died on 11th September, 1946 in Perth Hospital of illness and was cremated at Karrakatta Cemetery & memoralised in the Rose Garden
