3236 Thomas Taylor was born in London, England, he lived at No. 7 Hobson Street, Adelaide, Australia. The father of Edward George Taylor and husband to Sarah Taylor as a Merchant Seaman he joined the Army on the 06th November 1916 and was allocated to A Company Second Depot Coy, 8/50 Infantry Battalion sent to fight in France. Private Taylor returned to Australia on the 29th August 1917 and was awarded the 14/15 Star Medal, British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
