Son of John and Annie Davies of 27 Talford Street, Glebe, NSW formerly of 316 Jones Street, Pyrmont, NSW

Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

Eye witnesses said that Edwin had been drinking in the town of Heliopolis before starting to walk back to camp. He later been argumenitve and his companions left him to make his own way back to camp. Edwin was last seen walking along the tramline and it is thought that he may have become tired and sat down on the line and was hit by a tram
