"...Lieutenant Percy Charles Eckersley, 'A' Company, 31st Battalion, of Clayfield, Qld. Lieut Eckersley enlisted on 30 August 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Wandilla in Melbourne on 9 November 1915. He was promoted to Captain on 10 April 1917 and returned to Australia on 28 February 1919." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
