Private Robert McIntosh (Service No:102) enlisted in the AIF in January 1916 and served with 11th Machine Gun Coy in France. He was hospitalised with Mumps, and WiA in France in March 1917 (GSW to legs, hands and shoulder). Private McIntosh was Discharged in August 1917.

Born in 1888 in Glastonbury nr Gympie in QLD, Robert was the third of twelve children of Alister Meldrum McIntosh (b1861 in Inverness, Scotland) and Margaret Alexander Berry (b1861 in Gympie, QLD). Alister emigrated in 1880, arriving in Brisbane QLD on board the Dunbar Castle and in 1884 married Margaret in Gympie, QLD. The couple settled in Glastonbury nr Gympie where Alister was a Farmer. Following Margaret's death, Alister remarried in 1928.

Robert was a Farmer in Glastonbury nr Gympie, QLD and in 1918 married Maria Ethel Maudsley (b1899 in Boonara, QLD). The following year, Maria died in childbirth and in 1925 in Brisbane QLD, Robert married Agnes Frederick Burvill (b1893 in Kent, England). Agnes was a Student Teacher in 1911 when she emigrated with her parents and siblings, arriving in Brisbane, QLD on board the Torilla. In 1916 Agnes was a Confectioner in Brisbane, and in the 1920's moved with her parents to Goomeri, QLD. Robert and Agnes settled at Boonara Vale where Robert was Farmer. Agnes died in 1955 and Robert in 1968
