Norman Leslie RAILTON was born in Sydney in 1894

His parents were Arthur RAILTON & Charlotte Margaret Bertha Whitby WHITE

He enlisted in Randwick on 22nd August, 1914 and embarked with the 2nd Infantry Battalion on the ship Suffolk on 18th October 1914

He was invalided back to Australia for 3 months  due to illness (Neurasthenia) on the HS Karoola on 4th November, 1915 and was discharged on 16th April, 1916

After he was discharged he took up the job of Recruiting Officer in 1917

He married Mary Adelphe BENNETT in Sydney on 11th April, 1917

Norman died in NSW in 1988 (place & cemetery unknown)

His brother Stanley Arthur RAILTON served as a Medical Officer during WW1 & also served (NX147209) and (N27416) in Ww2 - he died in Taree, NSW on 30th November, 1984
