Oliver Charles Britton

Oliver Charles Britton, Private, No.2915, 5th M.G. Battalion. Born at Goondiwindi in 1892 and educated at Roma. The son of S. J. and A. Britton, of Mitchell. Enlisted at Roma on 25th September, 1916, and sailed in December for England, going to Salisbury Plain. Went to France in August, 1917, into the line at Ypres and through fighting till March, 1918. Took ill with pleurisy but returned to the line in June and through all fighting with unit till the signing of the Armistice. Returned to Australia, arriving in September, 1919.
