Thomas’s name has been inscribed on the Mayfield Public School Honour Roll (photo, unveiled on the 19th October 1918, 79 names inscribed) and the Newcastle Progressive Carpenters & Joiners Roll of Honour (unveiled on the 6th August 1917, 22 names inscribed, whereabouts unknown).

There is no indication of Mr Croese’s headstone of his service during The Great War, so I have placed poppies and a 1914-1918 WAR label, kindly supplied by Andrea Gerrard and John Thomas, in remembrance of his duty for God, King and Country.
