Add my storyBiography contributed by Stephen Brooks
Lloyd Erllabert Small was one of seven children, and his father, Robert Small, died a month after he enlisted. His brothers Dovellan Septimus Small and Eidelgrave Ernest Small also enlisted later on.
Lloyd was killed in action at Pozieres on 24 July 1916. His service file states he was "buried in the vicinity of Pozieres, map reference 57D.SE X4-X5. His mother, Louisa Small, received his medals and plaque.
During 1937, his remains were discovered, near Pozieres, confirmed by the prescence of his identity disc and a small medal used as a disc, inscribed with his details. His mother had passed away during 1929. Attempts were made to trace his surviving brothers and sisters but any success is not recorded in his service file. Lloyd was reburied in the London Cemetery and Extension.
