Son of Henry and Emeline DENTON
PTE. G R. DENTON.
Missing since the battle of Pozieres Pte. G. R. Derton is now officially recorded as killed in action. Pte. Denton was born in N.S.W., and spent most of his life there, but his father, Mr Denton, of the Footscray Club, is well known to hnndreds of Footscray people who sympathise with him in the loss of his only boy. Pte. Denton was employed in the city council's electric light department and enlisted in July, 1915, spending some time in Egypt before going on to France. He was 26 years of age.
