Son of William James and Mary Ann Alston Wise of Chelsea Road, Chelsea, Victoria; brother of Thomas Alfred Wise who was killed in action on the 10 June 1917

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal

Mary wrote several letters over a couple of years showing that she was not coping with the loss of two of her three sons
