Biography

Vernald Percie HARDIE was born in 1893 in Katoomba, NSW

His parents were Thomas Loughlin HARDIE and Emma Jane KINSMAN

He enlisted on 16th May, 1916 as a Private with the 54th Battalion, 5th Reinforcements (Army)

Vernald was wounded on 15/5/1917 and died soon after at the 29th Casualty Clearing Station, France

He was awarded the British War Medal & the Victory Medal
