He was 22 and the son of Peter Patrick and Rosalia Sarah Redfearn, of 30, Cross Lane, Gravesend, England.
His brother Gunner Ernest Redfearn, Service Number 28655, aged 33,also fell whilst serving with British forces-[63rd Bty. 10th Bde.Royal Field Artillery]
-the brothers are honoured on the Gravesend-St George's Church War Memorial.
