His brothers: 3027 Pte John William Dewsnap, 59th Battalion, killed in action, 19 July 1916; 3071 Pte Claude Dewsnap, 8th Battalion, died of wounds, 28 October 1917; 66 Lance Corporal George Dewsnap M.M., 2nd Field Company Engineers, returned to Australia, 6 June 1918.
