George Treglown was born to Olive Mattingley and George Treglown in May 1891. He was born in Torrensville Adelaide, Australia. George was married to Mrs Miriam Annie Treglown and they moved together to 19 Chrisholm Place, Adelaide Australia. He worked as a Striker on the railways.
George Treglown enlisted in the army on the 21st of August 1916 in Mitcham, Adelaide and was in the 10th Battalion and 21st Reinforcement. During the war, he travelled to Folkestone England and Etaples France. He was wounded in action on the 6 of May 1917 and was taken to 3rd Casualty Cleering Station, France. Sadly on the 7 of May 1917, George Treglown died of his wounds and was buried in Greviller British Cemetary, France. After her husbands death, Miriam moved to 183 Stanley Street in West Melbourne.
