Alfred John (Tom) Denby (1894-1954) was born in Adelaide, South Australia and was the son of Alfred Bean Denby (1867-1942) and Fanny Catherine (Ella) Denby (nee Allen) (1869-1933). His siblings were Dorothy Hare (1893-1971), Arthur Edward Denby (1897-1970) and Myrtle Ryles (1899-1964).
He married Anna Fountain Spry in 1921 and had one child Nora Madden (1921-2004) and two grandsons.
Our family are very proud of his bravery and service to Australia.
