His birth is registered in December quarter 1894 in Wycombe, England
His parents were Wiliam Walter CHARGE and Ellen Matilda STALLWOOD
He enlisted on 29th December, 1915 with 1st Infantry Battalion
Unit left Sydney on 1st April, 1916 on SS Makarini
Gilbert was killed in ation on 9th April, 1917 in France
