Charles West LITCHFIELD     2903

Charles West Litchfield was born in Largs Bay, South Australia and Lived on Findon Road, South Australia with his mother, Mary Litchfield. Charles was a single man who worked as a Clerk. His job was to keep bank records safe and to record customer information.

Charles applied to the army at the age of 18. He enlisted on the 31st of May 1915 and was given the rank of Private once he had been accepted. He received this rank on the 4th of June 1915. Charles embarked from Adelaide, South Australia on board the HMAT A15 Star or England on the 21st of September 1915.

He returned to Australia on the 10th of September 1917.

Charles West Litchfield died on 24th of June 1958 of natural causes. Charles Last unit was 50th Infantry Battalion. Charles is Buried in Centennial Park Cemetery, South Australia in the Derrick Garden of Remembrance.
