The Mayor Ald. D. Guthrie, yesterday received the sad news that Ptd. Thomas Dyson ahd died of wounds on the 18th cotober.  The news was conveyed to his sister, Mrs. A.R. Peverley, by Canon Saxon.  Pte. Dyson was born in England but had lived practically all his life at Sellheim.  He enlisted at Charters Towers about 12 months ago.  Mr. H. Dyson , manager of the Bonnie Dundee is a brother, Mrs. R. Peace a sister, and Mr. J Greig a brother in law of Pte. Dyson's.
