Son of John Quirke and Mary Josephine Quirke nee Cashman of Sydney Road, Coburg, Victoria.
Brother of Thomas Francis Quirke who died on 15 January 1917 aged 18 years. His name is on the CWGC and his is buried in the same grave as John Victor Quirke. There is no other reference to Thomas that I could find in relation to his service.
Brother of William Michael Quirke who was killed in action on 8 August 1915 while serving with the 14th Battalion and has no known grave. His name appears on the Lone Pine Memorial, Panel 40
