"...4857 Private Victor Emanuel Mather, 6th Battalion, of Balaclava, Vic. Pte Mather enlisted on 6 July 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Demosthenes on 29 December 1915. He returned to Australia on 24 June 1916 with the 4th Divisional Cyclist Battalion." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
