ABBOTT - The death took place last Saturday of Mr. Christopher Abbott. Deceased, who was a brother to Mr. A. Abbott (of Warracknabeal) and Mrs. W. Abbott (of Ararat), was aged 61 years and 10 months. He was born at Ararat and went to Warracknabeal with his parents when only two years of age. His parents, who are both now deceased, were among the early pioneer families to settle in that district, where they took up land at Lake Whitton about 1876. Mrs. J.R. Taylor and Mrs. T. Leeke, of Warracknabeal, are sisters of deceased and another sister, Miss. L. Abbott, is in West Australia. Deceased was a returned soldier and leaves a grown up family.
