From Barraba Historical Museum
Pte Alfred (Douglas) Milson, 1889 - 1973, was in the 5th Light Horse Regiment. Pte Douglas had somewhat of a rotten run with illness during WWI with dysentry, mumps and Malaria. 'AD' came to Barraba after the war to manage "Trevallyn" for the Forrests. He had met Bertie Forrest in the war. AD married daughter Joyce and they bought a property called "Coreena" to the east of Barraba.
