Description
Sailor; 28years 2mths old (at enlistment 1915); 5’ 9 ¼” tall; 178lbs; medium complexion; blue eyes; brown hair; Roman Catholic. Tattoos – ship sailor and woman on chest, and various figures on both arms and wrists. Scar on his right shin.
Father: Mr John Curran and Mrs Ellen Curran, Clare, South Australia.
Next of kin: Sister – Mary Curran, 5 Selly Park, Waterford, Ireland (she later married and became Mrs Mary Monahan, 17 Clashua Place, Waterford, Ireland).
Next of kin in service:
Bartholomew Joseph Curran, service #5003, in the 3rd Australian Tunnelling Company (he died at 38yrs old, 22/2/1917, of pneumonia in the field and is honoured in the Hersin Communal Cemetery Extension in France).

1917 – mid 1919 Patrick spent a lot of time in and out of trouble – when on active leave, overstaying his leave.
He was held at Hospital on a few occasions due to injury of his right ankle in action.
