Alexander was the son of Alexander Stewart and Margaret Stewart nee McMillan.
World War 1 Service: 27 Oct 1915: Involvement Private, 2798, 23rd Infantry Battalion. Served in France and England. 4 Jan 1918: Discharged. Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal
