David Livingstone Haddon ALCORN was born in Mount Alford, Queensland on 23rd January, 1900

His parents were William ALCORN & Elizabeth McKAY

He enlisted in Brisbane on13th February, 1918 and embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Borda on 17th July, 1918 with the 1st to 8th Queensland Reinforcements

He returned to Australia on 22nd November, 1919 and was discharged on 22nd February, 1920

On 7th June, 1924 in Queensland he married Charlotte Margaret CAWLEY & had 5 known children, possibly 6

David died from a gunshot wound to his neck at his home in Rosedale, Queensland on 8th January, 1934 and is buried in the Bundaberg General Cemetery & his name is memorialised on the Mount Alford State School War Memorial
