"PRIVATE CLAUSEN.

Official information was received yesterday by the relatives of Private H. 0.  Clausen, of Carrington, and formerly a resident of Newcastle, that he had been  severely wounded in action in France.  He  was admitted to the Fifth  General Hospitall, England, on July 10." - from the Newcastle Morning Herald 21 Jul 1916 (nla.gov.au)
